Makiba Green, MSW, ASW has extensive experience serving individuals experiencing mental health crises, homelessness, and complex behavioral health needs within public behavioral health systems. My professional practice is grounded in a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that emphasizes dignity, empowerment, and equitable access to care.
Throughout my career, I have worked across diverse behavioral health settings, including homeless outreach services, forensic mental health programs, and community-based treatment teams. These experiences have strengthened my skills in clinical assessment, case management, crisis response, interdisciplinary collaboration, advocacy, and resource coordination.
I have also supported justice-involved individuals navigating court-mandated treatment while balancing accountability with recovery-oriented care.
As an ASW, I am committed to advancing mental health equity, reducing barriers to services, and fostering meaningful change for individuals, families, and communities. I continue to expand my clinical knowledge and leadership capabilities through ongoing professional development, with the goal of providing high-quality, compassionate behavioral health services to those in need.
